I've only been able to do some rehab at home in the past week half due to the rehab of neck roadblock pending further treatment. I admit after 18 months of this nonsense it did break me today. I want to be able to go out like everyone else, wear my heels, dance and have a social life. Not have to travel by reclining in Taxi everyday to medicos and rehab only...

It's best to have a veg fruit combo and always with awareness of just how much extra sugars your consuming. Any, excess carbs at the end of the day is going to go straight to bodyfat storage. I see way to many people consuming ridiculous amounts of starchy and sugary carbs (Dont follow the food Pyramid if you dont want to have high bodyfat percentages) and they almost always having problems with bodyfat yet alone body tone. Then spending unnecessary time burning calories doing cardio, which can also reduces muscle - by default increasing bodyfat percentage and dropping the basal metabolic rate.
How much carbohydrates one requires depends on how many calories one burns in a day. So if your sitting on your butt all day in the office -eating cereal and toast for breakfast, rolls for lunch and pasta for dinner with god knows what in-between - You will have bodyfat that you just wont be able to shake. When I assess clients I always recommend their own special range of starchy carbs based on their daily activities and body composition - no one is the same.
When in doubt always fill up to your hearts content on lots of bountiful fibrous with some starchy veg, lean clean sources of essential protein, lift weights and get of the cardio merry round. You wont be bloated, you'll be stronger, look younger, have more energy and your waistline will whittle and muscle/tone will no longer be so hard to achieve :D

Why DIY your own Fibre Capsules?? Because when you look at the ingredients from a Real Nutritionists eye - you bulk
at all the added extras. I mean seriously the most popular fibre supplement out on the market today, is just laden with cane sugar and whatnot. So in one hand you are increasing health with meeting optimal fibre needs whilst on the other hand - you're creating or enforcing excess body-fat via peaking glucose spikes. So... Coping PTSD
As many of you know from the attack I sustained last year I have ongoing PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) to deal with/manage. Allot of our soldiers have to deal with this as a result of Traumatic events. But what many don't know it can result from a collusion or an attack like in my case. I guess what makes it hang around is depth of physical damage for me. I feel this mental response is a natural and even beneficial state to ones survival, but its no good long term. One of the best ways to manage this condition is to remove the urge to fight or be on guard with certain brain training techniques and coping management. To me crap is an essential by product of life "It's how you deal with it, that counts"
Diminishing this fight/adrenal trigger has been the biggest challenge for me, for I have to fight daily in isolation for;
... So with all that in mind what do I do to contain/treat PTSD and Hypervigillence?? I;
- To keep my company (my baby I worked hard to build previously) - even if just - alive so I eventually have something to go back to when I have full movement restoration
- Every time I have to explain why I cant do something or when people asks what happens "I end up reliving and retelling the experience with all the emotional reactions as if its happening again" Thank GOD for Heahphones and baseball caps :DDDDDD
- My injuries prevent me from having a normal life and therefore the sense of being forced to stand still when your a go getter (18 months now - 2 years to go in rehab) makes me angry and want to fight but there is no direct adversary in front of me, that I can take on right here and now
- The Pain and discomfort reminds me constntly of the attack
- The physical scarring reminds me daily of the attack
- With My first (Of what I feel's going to many court cases) wont be until early next year (2 and a half years post collusion/attack) and we are preparing for the first one all the way up to the end of this year
- I actually have to fight daily, so to be delusional and ignore that fact would be to the detriment of my psyche
- My weekly timetable is full of ongoing Medical, Physio, Psyche appointments ongoing, along with Insurance company related and
... My Recent Fab Buys - My injuries and legal responsibilities prevent me from going back home to Spain to see my family and in these past 2 years I've really needed/wanted to see them - but am forced to do it it tough on my own
- Most nights I dream of being where I was before the attack and actually wake up as though I still had my pre-collusion body and abilities not to mention social life
- The missing chunks of muscle I've had all my life that are now gone actually feel as though I'm missing limbs/parts of me
- Mentally I'm an athlete and have been all my life, so my single mindedness in this matter pushes me to fight and push through anything and everything I have to
... So with all that in mind what do I do to contain/treat PTSD and Hypervigillence?? I;
- See a Sports Psyche/Psychotherapist weekly (If you've experienced or someone you know has "A Traumatic event that keeps reliving or interrupts

Recovery Updates, Pre Injury Post surgery Progress Pics
IMPOSSIBLE
How do you say it? Impossible or I'mpossible :D
Food for thought...
Hi all, just a quick line to say I haven't forgot you all. I haven't been able to blog daily like a I usually do due to all the extra medicals I've had to do this week and most likely the next few weeks :p Can't wait to get through em. Getting through daily rehab & trying to get quality of life back is hard on time constraints as it is.
It's been tough this week I'm coming to terms with the findings of the Rheaumatoligist saying I still have a 2 year slog ahead of me to get my body and normal life function back. Reason? I didn't have my injuries fixed straight away & he said the 3 to 1 rule. If I was fixed 1 month post collusion it would of taken me out & taken 4 months to get back. But because I didn't get the required surgery until 10 months post collusion, it turns out to be a couple years to get back post surgery (a total of around 4 years of my life - 17 months gone already) I've done 7 months - 2 years to go. How would you feel if something that should of only taken 4 months out of your life was dragged out for 4 years with added pain suffering to not just you but your company, your family abroad etc. Going with my own experience/education the timelines of recovery are about right with my rates of progression.
I went to vote early yesterday & had to change my address whilst there. I was told to press my pen down harder on the form by the staff, But I didn't have the strength in dexterity to write down hard enough to print through the forms carbon. One of the staff had to write for me (I'm right handed) My whole right side from toe to face hasn't been the same since the collusion. I'm getting there but its a long journey. It was such a silly thing that we take for granted that we can do & when its not there... Whoah. I locked myself in the public toilet, cried my eyes out, then washed my face, tied my shoelaces. Before walking to the baths & doing all 4 hours of my rehab followed by walking & practising gait restoration home (75 minute walk) with back pack. Ahhh Resilience, being pushed right down and then getting back up. I definitely need to look into relieving the whiplash though more effectively and managing the pain which is travelling to & paralysing my facial muscles. Will let you know what happens there. The case manager I have now has actually been so good in following the requests of my treaters unlike the the last one I had.
