Recovery Updates, Pre Injury Post surgery Progress Pics

IMPOSSIBLE
How do you say it? Impossible or I'mpossible :D
Food for thought...

Hi all, just a quick line to say I haven't forgot you all. I haven't been able to blog daily like a I usually do due to all the extra medicals I've had to do this week and most likely the next few weeks :p Can't wait to get through em. Getting through daily rehab & trying to get quality of life back is hard on time constraints as it is.

It's been tough this week I'm coming to terms with the findings of the Rheaumatoligist saying I still have a 2 year slog ahead of me to get my body and normal life function back. Reason? I didn't have my injuries fixed straight away & he said the 3 to 1 rule. If I was fixed 1 month post collusion it would of taken me out & taken 4 months to get back. But because I didn't get the required surgery until 10 months post collusion, it turns out to be a couple years to get back post surgery (a total of around 4 years of my life - 17 months gone already) I've done 7 months - 2 years to go. How would you feel if something that should of only taken 4 months out of your life was dragged out for 4 years with added pain suffering to not just you but your company, your family abroad etc. Going with my own experience/education the timelines of recovery are about right with my rates of progression.

I went to vote early yesterday & had to change my address whilst there. I was told to press my pen down harder on the form by the staff, But I didn't have the strength in dexterity to write down hard enough to print through the forms carbon. One of the staff had to write for me (I'm right handed) My whole right side from toe to face hasn't been the same since the collusion. I'm getting there but its a long journey. It was such a silly thing that we take for granted that we can do & when its not there... Whoah. I locked myself in the public toilet, cried my eyes out, then washed my face, tied my shoelaces. Before walking to the baths & doing all 4 hours of my rehab followed by walking & practising gait restoration home (75 minute walk) with back pack. Ahhh Resilience, being pushed right down and then getting back up. I definitely need to look into relieving the whiplash though more effectively and managing the pain which is travelling to & paralysing my facial muscles. Will let you know what happens there. The case manager I have now has actually been so good in following the requests of my treaters unlike the the last one I had.

14 months later - May 12th 2013 Rehab Progress (Post March 21st 2012 collusion) Did my pics to record progress with stats - Compared to my pre collusion you can see how much muscle thickness I've lost, although I'm still quite wide compared to the norm. The other thing that's distressing about this pic is the peaking shoulders. If you look close - they're peaked up (locked) from the chronic whiplash super tight neck tension. This needs to resolve before I can really get into my back and build it up again. The tightness also limits allot of correct form and options to train all upper body parts. Albeit, its SLOWLY getting better

Compared to my pre collusion you can see how much muscle thickness I've lost. If you look close - My quads are the same measurement as my knee at 15 inches NO flex and the shape of my legs are completely distorted. Being on crutches for 10 months pre surgery before finally getting it pushed for with my lawyers played a major factor. Then another 3 months of crutches post surgery. At this point I didn't even have adequate function/strength  for optimal surgery recovery for I basically was forced to do nothing for 10 months whilst not getting the required surgery (3 Keyhole scars below Right hip) For someone who had and loved her great muscle legs its painful to see the above. It takes allot of money to buy all the protein and supps you need & allot of work/sacrifice to build muscle & its a long slow process to do. Building to get that size took me 2 years with an already strong fit and balanced foundation.

Its Spring here in Melbourne and a I have so much to to post (been snapping away and hunting for new ingredients) :D I'm just starting to see my quad sweeps peeking just through and will post this later on. But for now here's some pics from the hospital bed post hip arthroscope and how the port sites healed over 6/7 weeks
