Pantry Nut n Seed

Oke Dokey, here's the next of the 3 related pantry blogs, the last one was 1) An example of the adequate veg intake & safe range of fruit/types that I have (safe for the waistline :)
Here's, 2) Show my pantry additions for taste n good health... (With some healthy examples of use)... Next still coming, 3) Show some healthy supermarket snacks to have on occasion
Also, At the end of this blog, there will be a my shopping list for this time of winter & even related linked blog entry's... Now, lets bring on the earthly colours...

...The pantry stock up stash

... All gluten, sugar cane, artificial s & wheat free
.. All nutrient rich
... Long lasting foods that are great to cook with & freeze in batches
... Side view
... Zoom in
... Almond meal, a great EFA that I so should of forgot to make lolo (grind your own almonds)cannot wait to do over/make healthy amaretti :D
... RAW almonds, skin n all. I really don't like buying crushed or slivered for the skin is too nutritious & tasty to to waste..
... Sesame seeds, an amazing alternative to parmesan cheese, yes you heard right. Toasted on my pizza bases cant wait.
... Sunflower seeds, takes me back to home & the old lady's who go through the bags of these guys spitting out the shells like parrots, hahaha :) SKILZ But seriously check your prices for its usually cheaper to buy shelled by weight then shelled for actual seed yield. This is the only true goodness form of the sunflower seed. Keep away from the processed oils.
... Pumpkin seeds, yep I'm a bit of a budgie for seeds :O) Again, check your prices for its usually cheaper to buy shelled by weight then shelled for actual seed yield
... Walnuts, again check your prices for its usually cheaper to buy shelled by weight then shelled for actual seed yield. Unless you want to up-cycle the walnut shells that is.
... Hmmm now for the jars, bottles & other stuff
... Orange blossom water, no added anything before the flower & water themselves (Check your labels). This is amazing on oatmeal or added to the home-made granola in roasting. Smells amazing too, as you could imagine.
... Tahini, made purely from white sesame seedsno added anything before the seeds themselves (Check your labels). Looking forward to using this to bind my RAW bars & slices, even making some myself.
... Pure & RAW honey, with the honey comb. I love to chew on this stuff. It seriously is the best gum, as mother nature intended. Honey is essential in the chilly months with natural anti-bacterial properties & great post training.
... Hmmm have I missed anything??
Yep, stacks of dried fruit.
... Cranberries, no added anything like sugar etc (Check your labels). An amazing super berry that really snazes up home made granola.
... Sultanasno added anything like sugar etc (Check your labels). A natural sweetener full of reservatol.
... Pitted Dates, no added anything like sugar etc (Check your labels). These guys naturally sweeten up bakes wonderfully with added fibre. I'm making amarretti with these guys to start off with :D
... Poppy seeds, an actual performance enhancer. These guys are going into a super seed mix for my oatmeal & whatnot.
As for flours, double your protein by using alternative mills...
... Introducing; Fava bean, Millet & Garbanzo (chickpea) flours... ALL gluten/wheat free :D
Im starting with Chickpea to make high protein pizza bases first I think.
I've never been let down by the Bob mills brand :D
... Black chia seeds, for those RAW bars & balls. I will however start with adding these to my super seed mix for my oatmeal & whatnot.
Beautiful earthly colours...
... Ps: local farmers eggs were actually added too, I'm making extra virgin mayonnaise this weekend for my baked veg fries...
