Nutritional yeast in
flakes is a perfect cheese replacer in dishes. The yeast is a micro-organism (saccharomyces
cerevisiae) that grows on beet molasses and sugarcane. Once harvested it is deactivated
and crumbled into flakes and sometimes ground to powder furthermore. Braggs is
my favorite brand at the moment and is not just gluten free but also vegan, hit link for a discount from Iherb and type in nutritional yeast in the search tab for options discount link.
Just watch out for some nutritional yeast’s contain whey protein from dairy
production. This yeast is one of my daily sources of both protein and the B
group which includes B6, B12, folate, thiamine and niacin (from cobalamin). Red
blood cell production and energy conversion from food consumed needs this group
